Speech and Language Therapy Services

Every person who comes to therapy has a different story, a different starting point and different hopes. The services below describe the main areas of support available for children, teenagers and adults, wherever you are in the world. Each service begins with listening: understanding what is difficult, what is going well, and what you would most like to change.

All services are provided by Hamayal Adnan, Speech-Language Pathologist, and therapy can take place online where that is suitable. Follow the link on each service to read more about who it may help and what sessions may involve. If you are not sure which service fits your situation, that is completely fine. Get in touch online, describe your concerns in your own words, and we can work it out together.

Our Services

Paediatric Communication and Neurodevelopmental Support

Warm, play-based support for children with language delay, developmental language disorder, speech sound difficulties, social communication differences and AAC needs. Sessions build on each child’s strengths and interests, with families involved every step of the way.

Adult Speech, Language and Cognitive-Communication Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation for adults after stroke, brain injury or illness, covering aphasia, dysarthria, acquired apraxia of speech and cognitive-communication difficulties. The focus is on real communication, independence and quality of life, with family members welcomed into the process.

Dysphagia and Swallowing Support

Careful assessment and support for children and adults who find swallowing difficult or unsafe. This service looks at signs of dysphagia, what an assessment involves, and safer swallowing approaches that are always individually assessed and supervised.

Voice and Fluency Support

Support for voice problems such as vocal fatigue and muscle tension dysphonia, alongside stammering therapy for children, teenagers and adults. The aim is a voice, and a way of speaking, that feels comfortable, confident and truly yours.

Not Sure Where to Start?

Many people arrive here unsure which service they need, and that is normal. A first conversation is simply a chance to describe your concerns, ask questions and understand the options. There is no obligation and no wrong question.
